Reusable Nursing Pads Tutorial :)

Homemade Reusable Nursing Pads! :)

Not only do you not have to buy a whole bunch and spend a bunch of money on disposable ones, you can even feel pretty while you're wearing them! :) They're so cute!!!!
Even if no one else can see them! :)

Lets make some! :)

This pattern piece I originally got off Pinterest somewhere but idk where... so this isn't my original idea. I just tweaked it a little :)

The pattern piece is just slightly smaller than a cd, but I wanted the full size so I traced a cd onto cardstock and used that instead.

so cut out 2 of your outside pieces :) (these will  be the outside and they wont be directly touching your boobs.
lay out your template and cut as many as you can :) You will need 2 for 1 set (one for each boob :P)

once you have your outside fabric cut out its time to admire just how pretty they are and get a snack (if you're like me and forget to eat breakfast!)

You need to use some kind of absorbent material to wick away the moisture so you wont get all clogged and engorged and all that. I use non pil fleece :) and you will need 2 layers for 1 pad. So 4 total for a set :)
Remember the original pattern piece and how it had a v shape cut out? ok do that. you will need that so you can make the contoured shape of the nipple so it doesn't pucker and what not :)
fold right sides together, like so and sew from the center out (you can go from the outside in, but I find everything lays better when you're sewing if you go from inside out)
See! not its not flat :) perfect! :)
there are 2 ways you can finish the edges... serge it like this or stitch around the outside edges and clip it with pinking sheers :)

this is all the pieces stacked up :)
they kinda look like little pac man things :) nom nom!

So go sew them up...
and viola! Go and make someones day!

I will be giving away these 5 sets to one of you lucky people! :)

How to win?

You have to subscribe to my blog either by email or reader or whatever your little heart desires, and put a comment in the comment section below :) I will pick a name out of a hat and then send the lucky winner an email you! :) so you need to confirm it, or I will pick a new one! :)
And you'll be out! :(

And if you want a better chance of winning, send a friend here to follow and have them tell me who sent them, and for every person you bring, I'll add your name in again!

The winner will receive a package with the 5 sets and my hearty thanks :) :)

So subscribe and comment!

(If your here from Pinterest you can do this too!)

Michi bag covers I made

These are a few Michi Bag Covers I made for my mom's Michi purse :)

This first one I drew chalk lines on it and top stitched along it to make the design :) (I got the denim at a thrift store for a dollar :)

It is reversible and the inside is red and black :)

This one I made from a stretchy "tee shirt" material. I wouldn't work with this kind again. But she wanted it so ok :)
This one I made the day before we left :) It is reversible also with brown on the inside :)

I know this one is blurry and idk why but I was trying to show the inside and how you put it on over the original flat Michi Cover. It has the same concept as a Bible cover :)

Anyway thanks for looking!

I will be selling some if anyone is interested :) I need to kick my behind into gear and make some anyway! :) when I do I'll be sure to post some! :)

Have a fabulous day! :)

Cali Trip!! :)

Hey!!! Did you miss me?! Ya I din't think so lol :)

Well we had a great trip and it was a blast but I'm very glad to be home :)

We went to the beach, bowling, The Creation Museum, and had a bonfire/game night with friends! :) It was a blast!!! :)

We played pit and catch a phrase when all the friends were over and had a bonfire with smores! It was a blast! :)

The Creation Museum was super cool! O and it was free! That was the best part :) they had 2 different "wings" of the museum. One side was explaining how the world came to be and what was created on each day and different things that backed up the Bible. It was super cool :) We really enjoyed that! It also talked about all these historical facts and had miniature models of like the ark, and the tower of babel :) And some on dinosaurs too :) it was awesome! and Also a little bit on why evolution is wrong and all that :) It was really cool :)

O and on the other "wing" was all about human anatomy and everything was blown up like a billion times :) It was cool :) Like all the cells and everything :) It was cool :) We really enjoyed it :)

And we walked on the beach and the pier and took pictures of stuff and it was fun :)

Also my mom has a photography business and she took pics of my and my hubby while we were out there :) wanna see? :) they were great! :)

O and obviously these are just a few of my favorites :)

anyway :) It was fun!!! :) We went to a Train Museum :) As you can see by all the trains :) lol

Anyway I hope your week was great too :)

Have a fabulous day!
